Hey J,

It depends on connecting flights. It’s possible but it would be a lot of hassle in such a short space as you might realistically only get one or possible two days in the water for that. If you could extend it to say 7 it would obviously make it more worthwhile.

I have to make regular trips via Bogota airport… do you think it’s feasable to drag out the layover to 5 days as enough time to get to the coast and surf or would it be a load of hassle getting there?

Great story. That had me laughing when your friend blew your chances. I’ve had friends of equal uselessness so understand how that feels.

I might have to include Columbia in my travel plans for next year after this.

Wow – that sounds like an incredible trip.
It’s amazing what discomforts you will put up with when you know your end goal will make it all worthwhile.
