The change in the way we look at adventure travel (now including ‘soft’ adventure) has probably made a lot of people who didn’t think they offered adventure activities before change their minds.

What a timely piece as I’ve just created a St Lucia Photo Safari that has just this morning been approved for their website by the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association and is now live at http://www.caribbeantravel.com/business/nature-and-wildlife/kirk-elliott-photography .

Interestingly enough I created this adventure photo tour after a big all inclusive hotel cancelled my photography contract then would not let me come on their property to shoot weddings even when brides have booked my photography.

Now with this Photo Safari all I find myself wanting to do is share the beauty of my paradise with all who love adventure and photography instead of losing sleep over those silly hotels.

This is awesome. What’s great about this infographic is that it not also reveals the rising appeal of adventure travel but it also shows the people who dig adventure travel are also mindful safety and precaution.

I thought a family was less but we make up a high % of travelers. I am not sure we would be considered adventurous but we plan to start traveling a lot more this year and its great to see a lot of families are doing the same.
