Hi there I’m also looking to do it this summer (still tossing up whether to camp or yurt) and this is the exact info I need as well. Have you had any luck finding out elsewhere?

I’m planning to do the trek next summer with my husband.
Would you mind sharing you’re contact for the guide?
We would consider sleeping in yurts since we’re not equiped with tents ect.
If people have experiences with booking yurts on the spot (bot beforehand) let me know.

We are planning to go there mid October. Do you think it is doable? We would stay in our own 4 season tents. Is there snow already on the trek? Anything else to take into account?

I agree. On 2 september 2024 we had a later of snow starting from Jyrgalan. Rivers more difficult to cross, slippery mud on ascents and descents made our first days tougher. After 3 days some more bad weather was predicted. Although well equiped, I think we made a wise decision to come down the mountains. Also keep in mind that there no garantee that the yurts are stil there early in september to offer you shelter. We saw not 1 yurt any more after that first snow fall. I guess this year summer ended earlier than normally..

A few km up the Boz Uchuk valley there are 2 camps, one looked very fancy. But I wouldn’t recommend to start in Boz Uchuck as Matt did because early september 2024 they were building a small dam for electricity production. That means that the new wide dirtroad for heavy trucks replaced the small path for at least 6km.
If you insist taking this valley there are very frequent marshrutki from Karakol at.the Ak Tilek Bazar. Locals pay 70 SOM, tourists with with a large sack 100 SOM.

One question regarding internet access – could you give some insight into which of these hikes offer the possibility of full-time or even half-time internet connectivity? Reliable internet would be helpful for checking in with work occasionally.
