Wow, what a story. Very well written! I have to say though, for a scam they went to some pretty heft lengths to have you buy them their beer. I wouldn’t have gone in in the first place, but at least it made for a heck of a story.

Thanks for the info on this tourist trap scam. I think I will delete off my itinerary and just watch it on youtube. If they would just charge admission, instead of milking the customers, then it’s more reasonable.

Wow, I had an entirely different experience when I went there. Drinks were reasonable for a go-go bar (maybe 100 paeso for a beer, 200 for a rum, lady drinks were about 350) but I was there with a bunch of locals who I think knew the people who ran the place. The massage ladies walking around in scrubs looked fine and gave a pretty decent massage (I was out on a bucks night but wasn’t interested in being harassed by 10 bar girls begging for drinks so I grabbed one of them straight away, tipped 1000 paeso for the hour or so she was massaging by back and shoulders and got reprimanded by a local friend ‘that’s way too much, that’s a lot of money for her’ heh). Had a good time there.
