I’m not familiar with Mac yet. Thanks for sharing this idea. I really have hard time about re-sizing my photos. At least now it really is convenient to do so. Thanks again.

ImageOptim looks like a very useful app, but I wish the default was not to strip metadata from images. The savings in file size is miniscule. Contrary to their advice (“If you’re publishing images on the Web, it’s best to remove all metadata, because browsers either don’t make use of it, or support it poorly.”), most current browsers do support color profiles, and if you want your photos to look the best on the widest variety of displays, it’s best to include the sRGB profile.

Stripping all metadata is also a poor choice for anyone who cares about copyright and ownership of their photos.

Hi Matt and thx for this tip! I will definitely check out there automator app.

For the life of me, I can’t figure out why some pics taken with the same device will upload to WP no prob, and others will create an error. Maybe the app will help eliminate that problem.
