I agree. It is. Something the documentary didn’t mention, though, was that Steve had recently had a life-threatening accident (http://www.stevehouse.net/Site/Training_Blog/Entries/2010/5/9_Fall_off_Mount_Temple.html). I think that had something to do with the ominous tone of the film.

Definitely a matter of perspective. People don’t start doing life-threatening stunts all the sudden one day. They start by pushing the envelope a little at a time, so each time they do something crazier, to them it’s just a little bit more dangerous than the last thing.

It’s easy for me to judge extreme atheletes as a little crazy, but one or two of my adventures would definitely come off crazy to some people…all a matter of perspective, I guess.
