Photo editing can be time consuming and onerous — especially when you’re in a rush to produce a large amount of content. But, there are some tricks you can use to automate most of the process.
I had a friend in Taiwan who was a club photographer. He’d have to shoot until 3 or 4am and then go home and edit 50 photos and send them to the client before morning, so he had to create an extremely efficient workflow. In this tutorial I will show you how he did it, and how I edit photos when I’m in a rush.
This process uses the Photoshop ‘batch’ and ‘action’ automation tools, as well as several automatic image correction tools. It isn’t perfect. It works better for some photos than for others, but it will improve the vast majority of photos extremely quickly and will also resize the photos to fit your blog perfectly.
If you don’t have Photoshop and can’t afford to sign up for the current version, you can download a free old version that Photoshop released with serial numbers last year.
**The install for Mac is actually for Power PC devices, so you’ll need Mac OS X v.10.2.8–v.10.3.8 or Rosetta to get it working.
Last, there is one caveat to the tutorial below: you must straighten and crop all photos before following the steps below for best results.
