About Matt Gibson
Matt is an award-winning outdoors travel blogger, writer, and photographer from British Columbia, Canada. He has an honors degree in Sociology with a minor in Professional Writing from the University of Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia. Gibson writes the About.com Snowboarding Guide as well as columns for Transitions Abroad and Travel + Escape and a blog for the Huffington Post. He maintains an award-winning outdoors blog (you’re looking at it) and has worked with numerous outdoors and travel publications, such as Outside, Afar, Action Asia, Kootenay Mountain Culture, and more. He has traveled on four continents, speaks horrible Spanish and butchers French, but can maintain a conversation in Mandarin Chinese.
About Emilie Warden
Emilie Warden is a traveler and photographer originally from Cincinnati Ohio. She has traveled on five continents and worked as an English teacher and flight attendent before she started her career as a photographer. Emilie speaks four languages to different degrees, and feels most comfortable conversing in Mandarin Chinese, when not speaking English.
