After being abroad for six years, moving home was scarier than leaving in the first place.
There’s no formula to becoming a travel writer — especially a freelance travel writer. Everyone arrives at this job by a different path. Whenever I’m at a conference I make a point of asking people how they how they ended up in this line of work. The answers vary widely.
Until now I’ve seldom written about my personal life on Matt-Gibson.org. I’m going to try and change that in the future. One of the great things about blogs is that readers get to connect with the person behind the screen.
