My Hero is a 7-Year-Old Skater Named Asher Bradshaw

My hero is a 7-year-old skateboarding prodigy from Los Angeles named Asher Bradshaw. Bradwhaw has been skateboarding for less than two years and he pulls stunts that I never could have imagined in my teenage skateboarding years.  He’s sponsored by Streets of Venice Skateshop and SMA has even made a small custom deck for him.  He’s already known throughout the world of skateboarding and has hung with some of the best in the world.  There are even rumors that a full-length documentary about him is being made. Bloggers: Help us Build a Village in India

Passports With Purpose is a charity run by travel bloggers that I got involved with this year after interviewing one of the founders.  PWP was founded by Debbie DubrowPam Mandel,Beth Whitman and Michelle Duffy in 2008.  That year they raised $7,400 for Heifer International.  In 2009 they blew away their goal of  raising $14,000 to build a school in Cambodia, and raised $30,000, so they threw in a vegetable garden, a clean well, and a school nurse, in a addition to building the school.  The school, which was built with help from American Assistance for Cambodia, is already finished.

Tony and Thomas of Contemporary Nomad on Traveling and Blogging

Tony Eitnier and Thomas Arnold, authors of the Contemporary Nomad travel blog, live quintessentially postmodern lives. Arnold, a German chemist, and Eitnier, an American language and communications trainer, started their travels as couple without a home. Because of the exclusionary marriage laws in their respective countries, neither was able to obtain a visa to live in the other’s home country. This pushed them into a nomadic lifestyle, and online entrepreneurship, both of which they have come to love.
